Tiny production and a thirsty domestic market conspire to make top-quality Austrian wines a rare sight at price points suitable for everyday consumption.  Luckily, we knew just who to ask!

Hannes Reeh, a very talented winemaker was able to find us some Grüner Veltliner grapes from two 25-30 year-old alluvial red gravel vineyards in the villages of Halbturn and Andau, which are located between the Danube on the east and the Neusiedlersee on the west. Just enough to supply our needs, making this a SoilAir exclusive!

The hand-picked and hand-sorted grapes are destemmed before crushing. The Grüner Veltliner and Blaufränkisch Rosé then rest for two months on its fine lees after a cool fermentation in stainless steel.  The Blaufränkisch Rot spends six months in neutral oak casks before bottling. The whole lineup presents an outstanding value for such meticulously-crafted varietally-typical wines!
