Located 28 miles north of Chicago in the storied city of Highwood, 28 Mile Distilling Co. has quickly become a leader in fine spirits production. The woman depicted on the logo is Rose Miller, aka “The Debonair”, an entrepreneurial woman born in 1893 who, after being taught by her father to distill vodka quickly became one of the Chicago’s main suppliers during prohibition. Rose’s vodka was known as the “28 Special”, because the batch number always started with a “28”. Due to the secretive nature of the boot-legging business, Rose always remained anonymous, known only as “The Debonair” to her loyal customers.

Paying homage to Rose and her famed recipes, 28 Mile Distilling Co. creates award winning spirits from only the finest local ingredients and purest Illinois water. The Gin is a London dry style with a modern twist, excellent in cocktails if you can resist sipping it straight. The eponymous ‘Debonair’  Bourbon is a velvety blend of aged Kentucky Bourbon and Rye, a sophisticated sipper for any occasion.
