Els Vinyerons is a  joint venture between Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz in Penedès, Catalonia. Amós is a former pharmacist who grew tired of his occupation and started to make natural wine in 2011 under the Amós Bañeres name. Yearning for a challenge, he joined Alex Ruiz, a Cava producer from a generations old winery.

At its core, the inspiration for Els Vinyerons is to create a line of approachable, natural, terroir-driven wines from fully organic vineyards. Together Alex and Amos each bring their own specialized knowledge and expertise. Alex has long been working as a large-scale Cava producer, and brings 10 hectares of vine, and Amos brings his small, artisanal approach to winemaking.

The collaboration results in pure, incredibly expressive wines that are made with great respect for the earth. The wines are made with minimal intervention and no sulfur is added.
