Dark-skinned berry, exotic spice, leather and pressed blue flower are just some of the aromas you'll find in this gorgeous red. The elegant, firmly structured palate doles out juicy Marasca cherry, cassis, licorice and espresso flavors framed by polished tannins. It's extremely well balanced, with bright acidity.

The 2014 Barbera d'Asti Bricco della Bigotta is a dark and sophisticated expression of the grape with deep intensity and profound layers of fruity richness. It shows a beautiful side of Barbera and results in a wine that is inviting and pleasurable to drink. There's a level of finesse here and a polished nature of the fruit that puts Bricco della Bigotta one step ahead of its peers. Despite the cooler vintage, the acidity is nicely integrated and not too sharp.

Love the chocolate and raspberry character to this with lemon undertones. Medium body. Fruity finish. Drink now.
