Soutiran's NV Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs bursts from the glass with a gently oxidative bouquet of walnut oil, confit lemons, yellow apples and white peach. On the palate, the wine is broad, full-bodied and complex, with a deep, concentrated core, ripe acids and a long, nutty finish. Powerful and complex, readers who appreciate the style will adore it. It was disgorged in April 2017 with 6.2 grams per liter dosage and is based on the sunny 2006 vintage.

Wine Spectator: 92 pts

A firmly structured Champagne, exuding mineral, honey and citrus notes. Medium- to full-bodied, with a core of flavor, depth and concentration. Slightly austere today, this would benefit from at least 6 months of aging. Drink now through 2005. 3,000 cases made. — BS

James Suckling: 92 pts

Wild aromas of rust, rhubarb and light lemon curd follow through to a full body that is compact and creamy. Extremely long and flavorful with a tangy and savory finish. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast: 91 pts

Chardonnay grown on land traditionally used for Pinot Noir gives a particularly rich and textured wine. This has ripe apple and pear fruit flavors that are lifted by the fresh lime juice and a light textured character. The wine is full, ripe and ready to drink.
