The Elio Ottin 2016 Vallée d'Aoste Pinot Noir is a classic wine that boasts extreme varietal and territorial purity. There is no mistaking this for anything but a cool-climate, mountain Pinot Noir. The wine is extremely balanced and elegant with wild rose, lilac and redcurrant. You also get flint and crushed slate. Those mineral nuances add to the almost salty nature of the wine's elegant mouthfeel. This wine is already open and accessible at this young stage, but it promises to evolve slowly with more time in the bottle. Some 14,000 bottles were made.

A delicious, delicate pinot noir with strawberry and citrus undertones that follow through to a medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.
