Vinous: 92pts
The 2014 Merlot is surprisingly open and accessible for the year, which is not a bad thing. The flavors are racy and punchy, and there is a good deal of bright acidity as well as supporting structure, but it is the wine's balance that is most impressive at this stage.
James Suckling: 91pts
If you like them big, this could be for you! A ton of chocolate aroma isn’t enough to smother all the ripe plums of this rich merlot and the full, supple tannins fill out the widescreen body rather well. Balanced, but slightly simple finish. Drink or hold.
