Here's a new wine released for the first time. The Piancornello 2015 Podere del Visciolo Per Emma (a pure expression of Ciliegiolo with only 4,000 bottles produced) is a solid, almost boxy wine that sits squarely on the palate. That deep inner sense of grounding gives the wine a smooth and consistent personality and puts it in a unique position in which its aromas are displayed with extra intensity and purity. You get depth, with medium persistence, and elegance, with good complexity.
