The 2017 Rosso di Montalcino opens to a ripe and more robust approach that reflects the heat and, consequently, the concentration of the vintage. Dark cherries, plums and light spice intermingle to give this informal wine a solid center of gravity. A core of dark fruit is surrounded by fresh acidity and softly integrated tannins. In terms of Rosso, this wine veers toward the more opulent side of the spectrum. With 13,000 bottles produced, you get great value here.
