Ripe red cherries, red plums, dried cranberries, nutmeg and spices. Full body, chewy tannins, some really pretty acidity and a long finish. Drink in 2020.

The last time we saw this wine produced was in 2009. A pure expression of Sangiovese, the 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva represents a big comeback in terms of beauty and intensity. This sun-soaked vintage offers a plump and juicy quality of fruit with excellent definition and contouring. You really taste the essence of the grape here with wild berry, grilled herb and gardening soil. This wine represents a selection of one cask that was put aside and aged for an additional 12 months to gain its Riserva status.

This is supple and vibrant, evoking almond, tobacco, earth and graphite flavors, offset by sweet black cherry and plum notes. Finds a nice equilibrium in the end, finishing long. Best from 2021 through 2036. 600 cases made, 250 cases imported.
