International Wine Report: 90pts
The 1999 Cialla Bianco is a blend composed of 60% Ribolla Gialla, 30% Verduzzo, 10% Picolit which was fermented in oak barrels followed by 11 months’ maturation. It was further aged in bottle, varying from 6 to 12 months. The wine itself displays a deep golden color, and offers aromas of dried pear, honeycomb and crushed stones. On the palate this is bone dry and well balanced with just a touch of acidity remaining on the finish. Certainly a unique and interesting wine to explore at this point in its evolution. (Drink Now)
